OWC NOTE: There has been confusion about the type, and sizes of memory available to install in iMac Flat Panel systems. The only memory slot that is user accessible is the SO-DIMM memory slot located on the bottom of the computer. This memory slot can accomodate any PC-133 SO-DIMM up to 2" in height. For more information about this issue, see this Apple Developer Note. While it is possible to upgrade the PC-133 SDRAM chip inside the computer, an upgrade of this type requires a qualified service person to perform, and we do not recommend end users to do so. It also voids the Apple warranty on the system.
To install any SO-DIMM in the iMac Flat Panel, first remove the AirPort card (if equipped with one), and install the SO-DIMM as per the instructions provided HERE. Once the memory is installed, reinsert the AirPort card, placing the antenna cable on top of the memory and re-assemble the system.
