Configuring your Pioneer DVR-107 for use with Mac OS X 10.2 using PatchBurn 1.1

Begin by downloading PatchBurn 1.1.

Open PatchBurn and type in your administrator password when asked. You will be presented with a window showing your installed optical drives on the left, and the CD/DVD system drivers installed in the OS on the right. For the DVR-107 choose anything from the DVR-103 to this drive highlighted here, represented as an unintelligble string of text to us, but a support file for a DVR-105 to the computer. That will add the burning capability to the drive that you desire. Restart your system when instructed to after patching.

In Apple System Profiler the DVR-107 now reports Disc Burning as fully supported.

And Apple iTunes shows the CD burner as the proper DVR-107D and speed as 24x capable. You're all set!
