Rating: 5/5 I installed it myself! March 7, 2015 It would have cost me around $300 to have the local tech guys put in the hard drive, including the cost of the drive, which I got for around $60. My grand total, with the little screwdrivers, was $85, including shipping.

The instructional video was so helpful, I had no idea it would be so easy. I felt pretty proud of myself, even though, it involved only removing some screws. If I can do it, anyone can.

Thanks OWC for making it so painless. I'm a loyal customer for life.

Rating: 5/5 Works as advertised January 13, 2015 The hard drive (OEM) in my daughter'e 2010 MacBook Pro died. Data was not recoverable. She bought a new one. I took her old one and replaced the hard drive with a 500 GB HGST Travelstar I purchased from OWC. Thanks to the OWC video tutorial, it was a breeze to install. I booted the computer in recovery mode, formatted the drive and downloaded Yosemite. Computer is up and running - my wife now has a laptop. Thanks to OWC, this entire process was very easy. New drive works well (7200 rpm instead of original 5400 rpm). Thank you OWC!
