Q: How do I tell what iPod I have?
A: If your iPod plugs in to charge via a cable at the TOP, you have a 1st or 2nd generation iPod. If your iPod plugs in via a DOCK CONNECTOR at the bottom, you have a 3rd or 4th generation iPod and this battery will NOT work for you. Don't worry - batteries for your iPod are available here.
