The OWC 8" SATA Extender Cable includes a 7 pin SATA connection for signal and 7+2 position connection for power requirements.

It can be used as an extension but is also used to connect hard drives to some Apple products. This can also be used in conjunction with a SATA hot swap backplane adapter.
