IMPORTANT NOTE IF INSTALLING DRIVES TO CREATE A VOLUME LARGER THAN 2TB: Master Boot Record has a 2TB limit per-volume limit. Because of this, you must format the solution using GPT in Windows. GPT format is only supported by Windows XP 64-bit Edition, Windows 2003 Server and Vista. GPT format will not work with XP 32 bit or older Windows operating systems. Only Vista systems with EFI can boot from GPT partitions. |

OWC NOTE: This drive enclosure requires a 3.5" Serial ATA (SATA) drive mechanism. Most computers produced since 2006 use Serial ATA (SATA) hard drives. Please make sure that the drive you wish to use with this enclosure is compatible. If you need an enclosure for an ATA/IDE hard drive, click here.
