Roxio Toast Titanium 11 with HD Plug-in Included

Reads and Writes Blu-ray discs
Although commercial Blu-ray movie playback not supported in OS X, Blu-ray discs do mount on the desktop and can be backed up to the computer or played via third party software options.

OWC Notes

  • Requires disabling of hard disk sleep in Mac Pro Systems to prevent drive from disappearing during sleep.
    • To disable hard disk sleep go to System Preferences > Energy Saver and uncheck "Put the hard disk(s) to sleep when possible."
  • Drive is Plug & Play natively supported by Apple iLife, Apple iDVD, etc with Mac OS X 10.4.3 and later.
    • If you are using Mac OS X 10.4.2, the latest version 10.4.11 is a free update we recommend installing.
    • If you are using Mac OS X 10.3.x, you will need PatchBurn for 10.3.x for support.
    • If you are using Mac OS X 10.2.8, you will need PatchBurn for 10.2.8 for support.
  • This drive is not supported under Mac OS 9 or earlier.
  • Apple software currently does not support Blu-ray drives, but the DVD and CD burning/reading portions of the OS do function.
    • It is expected a future release of the OS will add Blu-ray support and the ability to display HD Blu-ray video.
