The OWC Mercury Rack Pro consists of 4 matched SATA hard drives. 4 volumes will show up on your computer's desktop. The OWC Mercury Rack Pro uses 4 independent eSATA connections to control the 4 hard drives for maximize performance (Requires a 4 channel eSATA controller card, not included but available here)
