The OWC Mercury Rack Pro Stripe & Mirror RAID 0+1 storage Solution is a 4 bay SATA hard drive enclosure configured as a performance RAID-0 stripe, duplicated onto to a redundant RAID-1 mirror for the best balance possible of speed and data safety.

The OWC Mercury Rack Pro Stripe & Mirror uses the award-winning SoftRAID 3 to create this hybrid of performance and safety. SoftRAID 3 takes your existing hard disks and groups them together to give you more speed, capacity and instantaneous backup.

The OWC Mercury Rack Pro consists of 4 matched SATA hard drives. 1 hard drive volume will show up on your computer's desktop. The OWC Mercury Rack Pro uses 2 independent FireWire/USB bridge cards to control the 4 hard drives.
