RPC setting
The DVR-115D includes Regional Playback Control (RPC Phase II Mode). Region changes can be made up to five(5) times including the initial setting. Be aware that the fifth(5th) change will be PERMANENT. Therefore, please use caution when changing the region code on the DVR-115D The method of changing the region code number may vary on the decoder or operating system used.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENT:
To achieve the specified writing and reading performance it is important that the DVR-115D is connected to the IDE port via an 80 way ribbon cable and that the IDE port is at least UDMA 66 or above.
Mac OS System Support:
Compatible with any Power Macintosh G3, G4, G5 or Mac Pro system with an IDE interface. Some older systems will not be able to burn discs at full speed due to a slower system bus or IDE bus. Highly recommended for any G4, G5 or Mac Pro system.

OWC NOTE: At this time, there is no native support* for this drive when using earlier versions of Mac OS X. Dual layer DVD burning is supported using the following software (Separate Purchase Required)
- Roxio Toast Titanium, and that software is not included with this drive. It is available as a separate purchase here.
- NTI DragonBurn 4.0 OEM or Retail - OEM available as a separate purchase here.
*Patching this drive for support under earlier versions of Mac OS X is possible using Christian Moller's PatchBurn Software, located here.
DVD Player Support:
- Mac OS X 10.3 (all versions) - DVD player works perfectly
- Mac OS X previous to OS X 10.3 - DVD player not supported
- Mac OS 9 or earlier - DVD player not supported
PC System Support:
Compatible with any PC system running Windows 2000 or later with an IDE drive interface. Please see your burning software application manufacturer's website for specific support of this drive mechanism. |
