The USB2200a is the first truly professional USB studio condenser microphone. The design follows in the lineage of the award winning SE2200a, featuring a 1" hand crafted gold-sputtered diaphragm and class A discrete FET electronics, offering low self noise.
Proprietary Innovation: The USB2200a features technology and functions not found on any other USB microphone. First, a headphone output and volume control on the mic allow the user to set the direct mic level in the playback mix with virtually zero latency! Second, the audio output is simultaneous from XLR and USB, and the USB2200a may be powered via either phantom power or USB. Third, the USB voltage is conditioned to address the usual noise problems associated with using power from USB.
