After installing the Aura for 2013 Mac Pro, the fan spins up to maximum RPM and the drive will not mount.
Power the Mac Pro off and disconnect the power cable and all peripheral cables.
Remove the outer case.
Unscrew the two power cable connectors.
Unseat the Aura ssd.
Using a clean cotton swab dampened with 90% isopropyl alcohol, gently brush across the metallic contacts on the bottom of the drive (both sides). This will remove any chemical residue that may be left over from the manufacturing process.
Allow the contacts a few minutes to dry fully (do not attempt to reinstall the drive if the contacts are not completely dry).
Re-align the power cable connectors to their respective terminals and re-fasten each, making sure they are firmly connected / not loose.
Place the cover back on the Mac Pro, then reconnect the power cable and basic peripheral cables (keyboard, display, etc.) so that you can test the fix.
Power the Mac Pro on and wait.
The fans should now run at a normal rate and you should see evidence of a live video signal on your display (the same as you would see during a normal boot sequence). If not and the fan or other problems persist with the drive, please contact Technical Support.
