If your copy of SoftRAID displays a message saying that your RAID 1 or Mirrored RAID is "Missing a Secondary Disk. . .", there is typically an easy resolution to this problem. The most common solution is to adjust the appropriate "Timeout" setting in SoftRAID preferences.
1. Launch SoftRAID.
2. From the main menu, choose SoftRAID > Preferences.
3. Click on the “Mirror” tab.
4. From the pop-up menu that says “Mirror Volume Secondary Disk Timeout," change the setting to 1 minute.
5. Close the Preferences window and see if the problem is resolved when you try to mount the RAID 1 volume. If you are still having problems, try setting the Timeout to 2 minutes or contact OWC Technical Support.
