If pressing the eject button on your keyboard or drive does not eject the disc, or if you have a drive without an eject button, there are several methods you can use to eject a disc from your optical drive. Make sure the disc is not being used by any applications before proceeding.
• Highlight the disc icon on your desktop and press Command (Apple) - E.
• Right-click the disc icon and choose "Eject Disk".
• Drag the icon into the Trash Can and release.
• Open the Disk Utility, highlight the disc icon and click the "Eject" button on the toolbar. This a simpler method of performing the "drutil eject" command from the OS X Terminal application.
