PR Manager Marketing | Reports to Director of Marketing The ideal candidate will generate media exposure and maintain a positive public image for the company and its products. The Public Relations Manager will seek to place OWC experts in U.S. tier 1 media as well industry and market specific outlets by pitching stories to journalists, preparing media kits and developing analysis. The candidate will help with marketing events as well as contribute to corporate newsletters, marketing copy and conferences. The candidate will report into the Director of Marketing and will be a vital part of an important project for the overall business Skills and Qualifications College degree required; Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or related field preferred 5+ years of experience in PR Extremely strong written, presentation and verbal communication skills that positively represents OWC Open to work in a fast-paced environment Have proven tier 1 media relationships with online and on TV journalists Strong analytical, problem-solving, creative and organizational skills demonstrated by the ability to make timely and sound decisions Energetic and excited about OWC and their growth and their value. Able to comfortably and authoritatively interact with senior and C level executives Strong “teamwork” orientation Duties and Responsibilities:
    Responsibilities / Activities Help develop a successful media strategy that leverages the company's expertise Secure positive media coverage for OWC in the US, especially with tier 1 media Promote all of OWC’s thought leadership content across all platforms Have a tactical understanding of the US media landscape Secure public speaking slots at conferences and events for the company's thought leaders Be proactive, reliable and responsible. Attention to detail is vital. Have excellent verbal and written communication skills Help with conferences, trade shows, media events and ad hoc marketing projects Handle interview requests
