Other World Computing is seeking an eCommerce Merchandiser to manage the presentation of our online product catalog. The primary focus of this role is to enhance the user experience, improve onsite conversion, and drive sales through effective product positioning, which includes considerations in graphics, descriptions, promotions, on-site search, product placement, and more. A successful candidate will have demonstrated experience using innovative merchandising techniques and providing engaging product information in an easily digestible presentation.
Provide authoritative product detail page coverage.
This will include comprehensive product descriptions, detailed technical specifications, and effective visual presentation.
Curate content from internal and external sources to improve product listings.
Leverage analytics to understand user shopping behavior across all product categories.
Identify category and product performance trends for consideration and development.
Monitor and analyze competitor product display and pricing trends.
Work with online marketing team to build targeted landing pages for paid and organic web traffic.
Assist with maintaining new product introduction and promotion calendar.
Assist with efforts to gather and analyze data and direct customer feedback to enhance usability/customer experience.
Be an active contributor to the MacSales.com Blog
2+ years experience in merchandising and/or building content for a B2C e-commerce business, preferably in Computing Hardware or Consumer Electronics.
Detail-oriented, capable of handling multiple projects at once, adept in navigating ambiguity and rapidly changing/competing priorities.
Experience managing large amounts of detailed product data, content, pricing, image assets, etc. Experience creating customer-facing content (written, visual, etc.) that is on-brand, relevant, and tailored to our site visitors.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and Google Docs (Sheets, Slides, etc.).
Experience with web analytics (ex. Google Analytics) a plus.
Ability to code HTML/CSS is a plus.
Experience with project management/collaboration tools is a plus.
Working knowledge of onsite search is a plus.
A team player, a reliable collaborator.
