Well, this morning, Twitter user <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/maddogmedia\">@maddogmedia<\/a> posted the comment<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI&#8217;ve been using OWC drives for years, externals and internals. They&#8217;re nearly as tough as Jens Voigt.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Now, I\u2019ll be the first to admit, I had no idea who Jens Voigt was. As far as I knew, he was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0000685\/\">Jon Voight\u2019s<\/a> uncle or something. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=Jens%20Voigt&amp;ie=utf-8&amp;oe=utf-8\">A Google search later<\/a>, though, I realized just how much of a compliment @maddogmedia was giving us.<\/p>\n<p>For those of you who don\u2019t follow that sort of thing, Jens Voigt is a professional cyclist. In the cycling world, he\u2019s universally loved for his aggressive, never-give-up,\u00a0but positive\u00a0attitude. A pretty admirable trait, true, but how does that fit in with &#8220;toughness&#8221;?<\/p>\n<p>Then, I kept reading and the more I read about him, the more he sounded like sounded like a real-life <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chucknorrisfacts.com\/\">Chuck Norris<\/a> meme:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Once, he rode two stages of the Tour of California with a broken hand, <a href=\"http:\/\/bicycling.com\/blogs\/hardlyserious\/2011\/05\/24\/california-crash\/\">then apologized because his doctors and teammates convinced him to quit the race and get it fixed<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Once, in the Tour de France, he crashed his bike, totaling it, but rather than quitting the race, <a href=\"http:\/\/thelede.blogs.nytimes.com\/2010\/07\/21\/refusing-to-quit-the-tour-de-france\/\">he borrowed a child\u2019s bike (complete with toe clips) and rode that for about 15-20km<\/a> until he was able to get to where they had a spare bike for him.<\/li>\n<li>During another Tour, he tumbled off the side of a mountain ravine, got up, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=wG2C3JbaaUo&amp;feature=related\">pulled his bike out of the bushes<\/a>, and <em>got back into the race<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And the stories continue on like this.
