But nowhere is this more evident this year than with <a href=\"http:\/\/givingtuesday.org\/\">#GivingTuesday<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 a new initiative that aims to be <strong>&#8220;the\u00a0giving\u00a0season\u2019s opening day&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>According to the movement&#8217;s website, more than 2,000 partners have teamed for #GivingTuesday to\u00a0celebrate and encourage charitable\u00a0activities that support\u00a0nonprofit organizations. Among the founding partners is<a href=\"http:\/\/www.charitywater.org\/\"> charity: water<\/a>, an organization that is dedicated to permanently supplying clean, safe drinking water to needy communities all around the world. And as our Blog readers already may know, Other World Computing has <a href=\"https:\/\/eshop.macsales.com\/blog\/15395-owc-joins-with-charity-water-to-bring-clean-water-to-those-in-need\">recently teamed with charity: water<\/a> in an effort to raise a total of $125,000 for the drilling of new wells in areas of most need. And to help that effort, beginning on Black Friday and continuing through the end of today, OWC is donating $5 for each new <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/macsales\">Twitter follower<\/a> it gains!<\/p>\n<p>After all of the Black Friday and Cyber Monday hype, we hope you&#8217;ll have room for one more day of giving.
