Designed to enhance living and working spaces by eliminating the need for power adapters, the Power2U AC\/USB outlet now features NEC tamper-resistant receptacles and is available in a new 20Amp model for residential and commercial, hospitality, education, and municipal applications. Visitors to the OWC booth will be able to experience the convenience of the Power2U firsthand by charging up one of their USB or AC powered devices.<\/p>\n

Patented, UL Listed Design Complements Any D\u00e9cor<\/strong><\/p>\n

Newer Technology introduced the Power2U at the 2012 CES show as the first patented and UL Listed device to seamlessly blend into any wall as a standard power outlet. Users can access two traditional three-prong AC wall sockets in addition to two USB 3.0\/2.0\/1.1 ports without encountering \u2018plug barriers\u2019 found on similar devices that can prevent multiple devices from being charged\/powered simultaneously. Available in four decorator colors, the Power2U is a basic \u2018DIY\u2019 install in a 16-cubic-inch electrical box<\/a>.<\/p>\n

While the new 15Amp and 20Amp outlet models feature NEC tamper-resistant receptacles, the Power2U retains its main consumer appeal of offering a clean looking, modern, centralized location for charging\/powering USB devices. In addition to being convenient to use, the Power2U <\/strong>continues to <\/strong>provide two energy efficiency features. The <\/strong>intelligent Smart Power design only outputs enough charging power to meet the requirements of the device that is attached. The specially designed spring-loaded Safety Shutters completely turn off power to the USB ports when a connecting cable is removed to prevent \u201cvampire draw\u201d.<\/p>\n
