Apparently it\u2019s some sort of cell phone combined with a music player that you sync using iTunes, and is apparently quite popular&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I am, of course, referring to the near-ubiquitous <a href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/iphone\/\" target=\"_blank\">iPhone<\/a>. To avoid hearing about it or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/itunes\/\" target=\"_blank\">its music-only iPod brethren<\/a>, you\u2019d have to avoid television, radio, magazines, Web sites, and pretty much not go out in public at all. In other words, its <em>everywhere<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>With something that popular, there are going to be a <em>lot <\/em>of people using it in a <em>lot <\/em>of different ways. This opens the door for <a href=\"https:\/\/eshop.macsales.com\/shop\/ipod\/\" target=\"_blank\">all kinds of different accessories<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.newertech.com\" target=\"_blank\">Newer Technology<\/a>, no stranger to the iPod arena, has released a couple of new sync cables. The first, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newertech.com\/products\/3n1.php\" target=\"_self\">NewerTech 3 in 1 Audio\/Sync\/Charging Cable for iPod and iPhone<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.newertech.com\/products\/3n1.php\" target=\"_blank\"><\/a> is a standard sync cable, with something a little extra &#8211; a mini stereo jack that outputs a line-level signal. Now you can go from charging and playing music at your desk, to playing your music in your Auxiliary input equipped car stereo without changing cords.<\/p>\n<p>If you don\u2019t have a car stereo with an Auxiliary input, but would still like to charge your phone in the car, NewerTech has also released an <a title=\"NewerTech Auto Charger\" href=\"http:\/\/www.newertech.com\/products\/iphauto.php\" target=\"_self\">auto charger<\/a>. It does what it says: plug one end into your iPod\/iPhone, the other into your car\u2019s 12V accessory outlet\u00a0 and your iPod\/iPhone will charge as you drive.<\/p>\n<p><a style=\"text-decoration: none;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.newertech.com\/products\/iphauto.php\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-1750\" title=\"NTauto\" src=\"https:\/\/eshop.macsales.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/NTauto.gif\" alt=\"NTauto\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><strong><em>Psst&#8230; a secret tip.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>While each of the two cables is useful in its own right, they really shine when you\u2019ve got both pieces. The auto adapter features a USB connection &#8211; the sync cable is a standard USB\/dock connector cable.<\/p>\n<p>You can plug the \u201c3 in 1\u201d cable into the auto\/USB adapter component of the auto adapter and use it to charge AND play through. You can then use the cable from the auto adapter as a second sync cable, useful for work, travel, or replacement.
