\"OS<\/a>Here’s a fun and useful tip that can add more value to your Calendar appointments and events. When a location is assigned to a Calendar event,\u00a0it displays not only a map pinpointing that location, but also a weather forecast for the time and date of the appointment. This works in both Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite and Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks.<\/p>\n

Appointments in the near future (within a week or two) show a forecast icon as well as the seasonal high and low temperatures for that location. If the event\u00a0is far in the future, just the high and low temperatures are displayed.<\/p>\n

Having the location entered into Calendar events\u00a0also helps when looking at the information from an iPhone or Apple Watch (see images below). Simply call up the appointment on either device, tap the address listed, and a map appears. With another tap, it’s easy to bring up turn-by-turn directions to the location.<\/p>\n
