And if Woodstock Willie\u2019s prediction holds up, we\u2019ll soon be able to pack away the salt and shovels and gear up for an early spring.<\/p>\n<p>Woodstock Willie, the resident prognosticator in OWC headquarters\u2019 hometown of Woodstock, Ill., <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thewoodstockindependent.com\/February-2016\/Woodstock-Willie-Predicts-an-Early-Spring-at-Groundhog-Day\/\">didn\u2019t see his shadow<\/a> meaning an early spring is on the way.<\/p>\n<p>Woodstock\u2019s annual ceremony was inspired by the 1993 Bill Murray movie <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Groundhog_Day_(film)\">\u201cGroundhog Day\u201d<\/a> which was shot mostly here in Woodstock.
