Let’s face it — Facebook<\/a> is one of the most popular social networks in the world with one billion<\/i> active users. But for all the time that Facebook has been around, users have only had one thing that they could do with a post on the site — “Like” it. While that works fine when the post is about something you like, it’s awkward when you’re trying to show support for someone who is posting something sad or shocking. Today, Facebook added a range of emotions to the Like button that can more accurately show how you feel about a post.<\/p>\n

In addition to the traditional thumbs-up Like button, there’s also a heart to express love, a laughing face to show that you agree that something is funny, a shocked or surprised face, a sad face, and an angry face. Tapping or clicking the Like button displays the floating menu, and another tap or click adds your true emotions to your reply.<\/p>\n
