Last Month we showed you Forbes writer Anthony Karcz\u2019s series of articles titled \u201cThis Old iMac\u201d. In a recent installment<\/a>, Karcz sent his 2011 iMac to OWC via its turnkey upgrade program<\/a> and shared his seamless experience. Karcz was able to upgrade his storage and iMac\u2019s memory for some serious performance upgrades.<\/p>\n

But how much of an upgrade did Karcz get? Enough performance to render his \u201cThis Old iMac\u201d series of articles obsolete. As the author puts it, \u201cAfter today, \u2018This Old iMac\u2019 will be no more. Why? Because after I got my iMac back from OWC, the only way I can call my computer \u2018Old\u2019 is by hewing to the strictest of definitions. With new solid state drives and new RAM,\u00a0\u2018She may not look like much. But she\u2019s got it where it counts, kid.\u2019 \u201d<\/i><\/p>\n

In Part 2 of Karcz\u2019s experience with OWC\u2019s Turnkey Program<\/a>, the author shares benchmarks to show just how much of an improvement his iMac has seen with the upgrades. \u201cIn a couple of words? It screams,\u201d<\/i> Karcz says. Below is a benchmark that the author shared with his new OWC Mercury SSDs<\/a>.<\/p>\n
