Earlier this week, we showed you how to bring the powers of Amazon\u2019s Alexa to your iPhone<\/a>. Now, you can integrate even more Google capabilities on your iDevice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gboard<\/a>, released today by Google, is an all-new iOS keyboard that allows you to use features from the search engine giant while you\u2019re typing messages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perhaps the most useful feature is being able to perform Google searches for restaurants, news, sports scores and images right from your keyboard, making tedious app switching a less common practice. But you\u2019ll also get crucial abilities such as GIF and emoji searching and glide typing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And since Google is such a heavy collector of data, the company is clear that messages sent via Gboard won\u2019t be saved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe know the things you type on your phone are personal, so we\u2019ve designed Gboard to keep your private information private,\u201d<\/i> Google states in the Gboard description, adding that Gboard \u201csends anonymous statistics to Google to help us diagnose problems when the app crashes and to let us know which features are used most often\u2026 Gboard will remember words you type to help you with spelling or to predict searches you might be interested in, but this data is stored only on your device. This data is not accessible by Google or by any apps other than Gboard.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n\n\n\n
