\"\"<\/a>OWC<\/a>\u00a0has\u00a0announced its recent sponsorship agreement with The Rocketworx, Inc.<\/a>, a Lawrenceville, Ga.-based independent film production company. As part of the agreement, The Rocketworx\u2019s 6,000 square-foot facility in Lawrenceville will be known as OWC Studios.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re excited to be part of the team at The Rocketworx, making great things happen,\u201d<\/i> said OWC Founder and CEO Larry O\u2019Connor. \u201cWhen you see what these guys and gals did with our equipment on their Star Trek fan film Prelude to Axanar, and what they\u2019ve produced so far, it\u2019s easy to see why we want to remain an integral part of this company.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n

Rocketworx founder and CEO Alec Peters created and produced the Star Trek fan film \u201cPrelude to Axanar<\/a>\u201d which has won 47 film festival awards globally. \u201cWe want to build on the success of Prelude to Axanar and produce other great science fiction content,\u201d<\/i> Peters explained. \u201cOpening a studio in the Atlanta market opens up many new possibilities for us \u2013 one of which is the expansion of our long-standing relationship with OWC.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n

Peters and members of his team joined OWC at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show<\/a> in Las Vegas in April, and were able to showcase how OWC\u2019s drives and technology were used in creating both the short film and scenes from the currently-in-production feature. \u201cOWC has been with us since the very beginning,\u201d<\/i> said Peters. \u201cAnd this new agreement with them will help us take our capabilities and the stories we tell to the next level.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n

Following the opening of OWC Studios in Lawrenceville, the team at Rocketworx will finalize production details around the remainder of the Axanar<\/i> film project. \u201cWe also have several other productions and co-productions in the development pipeline and OWC will be involved in all of them,\u201d<\/i> Peters said.<\/p>\n
