With an impending snowstorm beginning to bear down across the country, cabin fever will be reaching fever pitch this weekend.<\/p>\n

To help temporarily stave off boredom, we have a couple of simple Mac Terminal tricks to check out.<\/p>\n

Watch ‘Star Wars Episode IV’<\/strong>
\nWant to watch \u201cA New Hope\u201d from Terminal? It\u2019s quite easy.<\/p>\n

1)<\/strong> Open Terminal<\/p>\n

2)<\/strong> Type the following command (without quotes) \u201ctelnet towel.blinkenlights.nl\u201d and watch Terminal go to work! Note, there is no sound but there are subtitles.<\/p>\n

Play Tetris and Other Games<\/strong>
\nPlaying games like Tetris or Snake from Terminal takes a bit more work than watching Star Wars but is simple nonetheless.<\/p>\n

1)<\/strong> Open Terminal<\/p>\n

2)<\/strong> Type the following command (without quotes) \u201cemacs\u201d and then hit enter. Then you will need to type fn and F10 simultaneously, and then follow with \u201ct\u201d and then \u201cg\u201d. From there you will be able to choose a game by typing the corresponding key.<\/p>\n
