If you\u2019re still running macOS Sierra, you\u2019re probably aware that Apple really<\/i> wants you to make the climb to macOS 10.13 High Sierra<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"Every so often, you surely receive the incessant, annoying notification that appears randomly in the top right of your display asking you to upgrade to High Sierra. You can choose either Install or Details, but you can\u2019t dismiss the notification.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve burned a lot of calories<\/a> showing readers how to turn off the notification<\/a>, but we\u2019ve been one-upped (and we\u2019re happy to have been) by Creighton DeSimone of The Verge<\/a> who discovered the quickest way yet to stop the notification. Just right click the High Sierra banner in the Mac App Store and you’ll see a “Hide Update” option (see top image).<\/p>\n

DeSimone is \u201cnot 100 percent sure this will work,\u201d but in our testing it seems to have worked\u2026 for now. Let us know if it works for you!<\/p>\n
