Vintage Apple products are those that have not been manufactured for more than 5 and less than 7 years ago. Apple discontinues hardware service for vintage products <a href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/en-us\/HT201624\" target=\"_blank\">in most cases<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.macrumors.com\/2018\/02\/27\/apple-to-allow-repairs-of-vintage-mid-2011-imac\/\" target=\"_blank\">MacRumors<\/a>, however, Apple internally announced a pilot program permitting Apple Stores and authorized service providers to continue repair services on 21.5\u201d and 27\u201d iMac models from mid-2011. The program will run in the U.S. from March 1 until August 31, 2018.
