Apple today released a screening app<\/a> and website<\/a> designed to provide people with a way to determine the course of action they should take with respect to the COVID-19 pandemic. Developed in cooperation with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), The White House, and FEMA, the app is free and asks the user simple questions to determine the next course of action. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the app provides information about the virus and its symptoms, social distancing and self-isolation, guidance on who should be tested and what to expect from test results, and fact-checked resources on the coronavirus from Apple News.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The app and website are simple to use, and the questions can be answered in less than a minute. The results offer guidance on whether or not testing is required, whether the responses indicate that influenza, a cold or allergies might be at fault for symptoms, and also offers guidelines for each outcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
