If you\u2019re like me, you\u2019ve gotten really familiar with Zoom over the past few weeks \u2014 perhaps because you now Work From Home (WFH<\/a>). It\u2019s not that I didn\u2019t use it before, but now instead of being in a room with a bunch of my coworkers connected to another room or two also with multiple people, we\u2019re all by ourselves in our homes. In one of my Zoom meetings this week, someone had a cool space themed background, and I made a mental note to get myself some cool backgrounds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am sure there are many, many out there, but after clicking on one of the results to a Google search for \u201cZoom backgrounds,\u201d I found myself on the Enterprise (TNG version) and in front of the Hall of Justice. As an avid tea drinker and Van Gogh fan, I also got a tea-themed background and an Irises background. It took me less than a minute to download these and add them. It was a nice conversation piece as we were waiting for everyone to join, and it gives a different glimpse into what I like or my personality. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just like for everyone, this time of physical distancing takes its toll at different points, and after hearing we have at least another 5 weeks of it in Illinois, I needed something to add a little fun and comradery. It\u2019s Friday, but I\u2019m looking forward to what people find over the weekend when they start Zooming again on Monday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to Add a Zoom Background<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019re looking to add some conversation starters or different ways to connect or get to know something about those you work with, this is a pretty fun and easy way. I literally clicked on the images I liked, saved them to my downloads folder, and then went into Zoom. In the settings section under preferences, you can see a few default ones there, including the cool space one that started this all, along with a \u2018+\u2019 sign. You click that and then add the image. Super easy, a fun way to connect, and now I don\u2019t have to worry about if my office looks perfectly clean and organized 😊.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
