Longing for the days of disco clubs? (I\u2019m not, but you may differ). Just want to have some fun with the Music app<\/a> in macOS? Try the Visualizer tool, which provides a light show that plays along with your tunes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here’s How to Start a Light Show in the Music App<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Launch the Music app on your Mac. Tune into your favorite radio station, playlist, or song. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click Window > Visualizer<\/strong> from the menu bar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Voila! The light show will begin. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two Different Visual Modes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You can also choose between Visualizer<\/strong> (the most up-to-date version and the coolest looking) and Classic Visualizer<\/strong> (more of an \u201cold school\u201d light show).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To select which light show option you wish to use, click Window > Visualizer Settings<\/strong> from the menu bar. Choose Visualizer<\/strong> or Classic Visualizer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To show or hide a list of commands you can use to control the Visualizer, press the Question Mark<\/strong> key (?) on your keyboard while the visualizer is on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you want the Visualizer to fill your display, choose View > Enter Full Screen<\/strong>, or press Control-Command-F<\/strong>. When you\u2019ve had enough of your show, press Command-T<\/strong> to stop it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To turn off visual effects, choose Window\u00a0> Visualizer<\/strong> (to remove the checkmark), or press the Esc<\/strong> key.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
