There are several ways to do this, but here is a simple one that I like to use whenever I want to change the icon of a drive on my Desktop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-default\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-to-find-an-icon-you-like\">How to find an icon you like<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>First, you\u2019ll want to <strong>find an icon<\/strong> that you\u2019d like to use to replace a current one (this is assuming you don\u2019t want to go to the trouble of <a href=\"https:\/\/eshop.macsales.com\/blog\/28492-create-your-own-custom-icons-in-10-7-5-or-later\/\">creating your own<\/a>). Use Safari (or your search engine of choice) to find the icon you want.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Canva offers a nice guide to finding such icons at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canva.com\/learn\/free-icons-download\/\">https:\/\/www.canva.com\/learn\/free-icons-download\/<\/a>. This will copy the image contents to the macOS clipboard.<\/li><li>Now control-click on the storage device on your Mac\u2019s Desktop whose icon you want to change.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"footnote\"><strong>Note:<\/strong> Don\u2019t confuse the Finder with the Desktop. The Finder is the first thing that you see when your Mac finishes starting up. It opens automatically and stays open as you use other apps. It includes the Finder menu bar at the top of the screen and the&nbsp;Desktop&nbsp;below that. The Desktop is the space where you see the file, folder, and application windows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Choose the <strong>Get Info<\/strong> option from the pop-up menu or press Command (\u2318) + I on the Mac keyboard.
