First, the good news.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-default\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-good-news-there-s-an-adapter-for-that\">Good news! There\u2019s an adapter for that.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>OWC prides itself in helping customers extend the life and usability of their Macs. So, if you\u2019ve been salivating for one of those sleek new <a href=\"https:\/\/eshop.macsales.com\/shop\/thunderbolt\/thunderbolt-docks\">Thunderbolt 3 docks<\/a> but are \u201cburdened\u201d with only a Thunderbolt 2 connection, you\u2019ll be excited to learn that there\u2019s a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.apple.com\/shop\/product\/MMEL2AM\/A\/thunderbolt-3-usb-c-to-thunderbolt-2-adapter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Thunderbolt 3\/USB-C to Thunderbolt 2 adapter<\/a>. When connecting a Thunderbolt 2 Mac to Thunderbolt 3 devices, you will still only get Thunderbolt 2 speeds of approximately 20Gb\/s (if you have just plain old Thunderbolt, you\u2019re stuck with speeds of about 10Gb\/s).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Second, the adapter is only made by <a href=\"http:\/\/apple.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Apple<\/a>.
