It\u2019s great for freeing up space on your device and sharing media with colleagues.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019ve received many feature requests from users, and we\u2019re happy to announce that we\u2019ve added two of the most popular requests in Copy That 1.2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-icloud-support\">iCloud Support<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>First, support for iCloud photos and videos. When iPhone (and iPad) storage fills up, photos and videos are sometimes uploaded to iCloud, then deleted from the device. This is great for automatically freeing up space on your device; but isn\u2019t great when you want to copy them to external storage.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Copy That, we\u2019ve added an option to automatically download missing files from iCloud and include them in the copy.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/eshop.macsales.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/include-files-in-icloud.jpg\" alt=\"include-files in icloud\" class=\"wp-image-77104\" width=\"563\" height=\"173\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eshop.macsales.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/include-files-in-icloud.jpg 1125w, https:\/\/eshop.macsales.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/include-files-in-icloud-284x87.png 284w, https:\/\/eshop.macsales.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/include-files-in-icloud-190x58-1.jpg 190w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 563px) 100vw, 563px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Copy That will download missing files as needed, copying them to your external storage. But don\u2019t worry\u2014these downloads are temporary and won\u2019t take up space on your device.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This feature requires the in-app purchase to \u201cunlock all features.&#8221; If you\u2019ve already purchased the upgrade, you\u2019ll get iCloud support for free.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-exif-support\">EXIF Support<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, we\u2019ve added support for EXIF creation dates. Copy That uses information stored in your Photos library to organize files on your external storage, including the media creation date. Normally, your Photos library will get this date from the information generated when the image was taken (stored as \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Exif\">EXIF<\/a>\u201d data in the image file.) However, this information can sometimes get out-of-sync\u2014especially if you\u2019ve imported media from another source\u2014resulting in poorly organized copies.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this new feature, Copy That will look for the \u201cdate taken\u201d information as reported by the original camera, and use this to organize your copied files (instead of assuming that the information reported by Photos is correct). Best of all, this feature is completely automatic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;We&#8217;re always looking for new ways to improve our products to solve real-world problems&#8211;with the new release of Copy That, we&#8217;ve added two of the most-requested features.
