It purported to be a day that we would \u201cnever forget.\u201d I Should Have Known Better <\/strong>than to think that it would be something regarding iOS 4; I guess we\u2019ll just have to Wait <\/strong>for that. It’s the same with cloud-based streaming, subscription based music, and the iPad mini – they\u2019re Nowhere<\/strong>, Man<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Though maybe not \u201cmemorable,\u201d their announcement was <\/em>pretty significant: The Beatles are finally available on iTunes. Oh! Darling!<\/strong> Did I just say The Beatles are in iTunes?<\/p>\n

Yes, it seems Apple, Inc. and Apple Corps have finally decided to Come Together<\/strong> and make the Fab Four\u2019s catalog available for download. Even Your Mother Should Know <\/strong>that it\u2019s been a Long And Winding Road <\/strong>to get this to happen. Frankly, I never thought I\u2019d see it happen In My Life<\/strong>, though I held out hope it might have happened\u00a0When I\u2019m Sixty-Four<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Do You Want to Know A Secret<\/strong>, though? I probably won\u2019t get to enjoy the new releases. I Don\u2019t Want to Spoil the Party<\/strong>, but I\u2019m really not sure that the features in the iTunes LPs are really worth the $150 to purchase the entire catalog again, especially after the remasters from last year, which are already in my iTunes library in a lossless format.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t think I\u2019m the only one, either. I\u2019m sure many Beatles fans can\u2019t afford to pony up that kind of cash year after year. Unless, Baby, You\u2019re a Rich Man<\/strong>, in which case, you can Carry That Weight <\/strong>for the rest of us, especially because You Never Give Me your Money<\/strong>…<\/p>\n

Sorry… I just couldn\u2019t Let It Be<\/strong>; I\u2019m So Tired <\/strong>of \u201chaving\u201d to repurchase the same music over and over just to eke out some better fidelity and\/or get some extra bonus material, just because they know that, in The End<\/strong>,\u00a0I Will<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
