This tip will help you learn more about your RAM (Random Access Memory). RAM is the \u201cthinking space\u201d of your computer, and it&#8217;s described in Gigabytes or GB.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some software requires a minimum amount of RAM. And that&#8217;s how you can check the quantity of your RAM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the top are several different sections: \u201cOverview\u201d is the main one. There should also be Displays, Storage, Support, and Service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-but-where-is-there-a-section-for-memory\">But where is there a section for memory?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Not every Mac can have its RAM upgraded, and this tip also will show you how to quickly determine if yours can be upgraded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>If there is a section for Memory<\/em>, then there is information about what type of chips are in your Mac and how many slots are used\/available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>If there is no Memory section<\/em> in the \u201cAbout this Mac\u201d window, your Mac cannot be upgraded, since not every Mac is upgradable.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That&#8217;s how you can determine how much RAM is in your Mac.
