It happened in March, then again in May, with Apple\u2019s release of macOS Monterey 12.3 and 12.4 and the accompanying Studio Display firmware updates. If you experience such issues you can probably solve them by restarting the display.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-about-the-issues\">About the issues<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In both cases mentioned above, after the operating system\/firmware updates, the Studio Display would power up but a monitor icon and an exclamation mark. Source: Apple<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-restarting-the-display\">Restarting the display<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>However, restarting the Studio Display fixed the issues. Here\u2019s how to restart the display:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Disconnect the plug from the electrical socket powering the Studio Display.<\/li><li>Wait at least 10 seconds.<\/li><li>Plug the Studio Display back in and wait for it to power up.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Studio Display is rebooted.
