With macOS Sonoma, when you click on your Mac\u2019s Desktop, all open windows are hidden. I find this very annoying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I guess Apple\u2019s goal is to spotlight the widgets and shortcuts on your desktop. But if, like me, you don\u2019t like the feature, it can be disabled. Here\u2019s how:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b0 Click on the Apple logo<\/strong> in the top-left corner of your Mac display.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b0 Choose System Settings.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b0 <\/strong>On the left sidebar, click Desktop & Dock.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b0 In the dropdown menu, click from Always<\/strong> to Only In<\/strong> Stage Manager<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Voila! Now your Mac performs as it did pre-Sonoma, at least with this feature. With this option chosen, the window-hiding feature is only active when you have Stage Manager turned on. (And I suspect not many of us are using Stage Manager anyway.)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
