Apple has refreshed the System Settings app of macOS Sequoia<\/a>, with tweaks to how it looks and performs. Let\u2019s look at some of the changes and how to use them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to navigate the shuffled sidebar<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Apple has moved around some of the items in the sidebar of System Settings. The Notifications, Sound, Focus,<\/strong> and Screen Time<\/strong> items are now further down (but are still grouped together). General, Appearance, Accessibility<\/strong>, and Control Center<\/strong> have moved upwards in the sidebar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That group is joined by the Desktop & Dock, Displays, Screen Saver,<\/strong> and Wallpaper<\/strong> segments, followed by the Notifications block. The Passwords<\/strong> option is gone, as it\u2019s been replaced by a Passwords app. (However, to make matters a bit confusing, there\u2019s still a section within System Settings for managing the Login Password.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sidebar items have been shuffled around in macOS Sequoia.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Privacy & Security<\/strong> moves down the list near Lock Screen, Login Password,<\/strong> and Users & Groups<\/strong>. Siri & Spotlight<\/strong> slips down to join Internet Accounts, Game Center<\/strong>, and Wallet & Apple Pay<\/strong>, but now in separate Siri and Spotlight sections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the bottom is the peripherals section with the Keyboard, Mouse, Trackpad, Game Controllers<\/strong>, and Printers & Scanners option<\/strong>s. Finally, Apple ID<\/strong> has been changed in the System Settings to Apple Account<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
