I upgraded the memory to 16GB, but that just slowed it down more because the operating system El Capitan cannot handle higher memory, so this purchase(Mac Pro 2013) was not a matter of "if," but "when." I made the purchase, and it shipped out a few days later. I chose the faster shipping, and it was worth the extra money. This computer has met all of my needs so far. It arrived sealed as if brand new, and migration from the old computer was a breeze after removing my old hard drive and placing it in an external portable drive. I reused my previous computer's keyboard and mouse. This Mac Pro is faster and quieter, has more ports for connectivity, and now, my computer unlocks with my Apple Watch Series 2. I did have to upgrade my audio interface because the old one was using firewire. I switched to USB and added more inputs for recording devices. I am pleased with the purchase, and the OWC experience was great, from ordering to delivery.

My only issue setting it up was that I use lots of external hard drives. I didn't realize that with High Sierra, I would need to change the drives to APFS. This has been an issue and took me a few days to figure out. I couldn't save files to these drives until I did. One drive (out of four) is still not working right and I'm waiting for more Apple updates to fix these issues.

The Mac Pro rocks and is so fast that I find myself smiling all the time.
