The Apple 60W MagSafe Power Adapter is made specifically for your MacBook or MacBook Pro 13-inch model. It's held in place magnetically, so if someone should trip over it, the cord disconnects harmlessly and your notebook stays put safely.

When the connection is secure, an LED located at the head of the DC connector lights up; an amber light lets you know that your notebook is charging, while a green light tells you that you have a full charge.

Rating: 5/5 Wife wanted "old" MagSafe 1, so... January 25, 2016 My better half is hard on cables of any sort, and trashed the L-style MagSafe adapter for her pre-Retina MacBook Pro 13". She blamed the adapter design, of course. This adapter fit the bill perfectly, looks like new, works great. What else can I say?

Rating: 4/5 First adapter defective, RMA'd without a hitch! October 14, 2011 I live in Illinois so I received the power adapter quickly. It had patches along the cord but not the connections where the cord meets the brick or magsafe port. I tested it and it charged my MacBook, but then the light turned green before it had fully charged. I tried another adapter and sure enough, the MacBook was working fine and the adapter was defective. Just to be sure I checked the adapter on a few other MacBooks (I buy and sell MacBooks and MacBook Pros) and had the same experience.

I contacted OWC's customer service and they were quick to reply. OWC paid return shipping and I sent it back. They acknowledged receipt and sent another power adapter at their expense. The new power adapter had less patches than the last one, and was fully functional. It is in great shape and I will be buying more from OWC in the future.

Rating: 5/5 As good as the original August 2, 2011 I use my Macbook as a "docking station" at my desk at home and it's extremely difficult to pull it out and access where everything is plugged in. I wanted a spare power adapter to keep in my laptop bag for when I take my computer out of the home. The plastic part of the connector is slightly different from what came with my computer and I thought at first it was the wrong item. The metal part matches perfectly and the magnetic force pulled it right into place. I checked quite a few places and OWC had the best value of anyone out there. It says "used", but I see no cosmetic blemishes and it functions just as good as my original.

I would recommend this item to a friend!
