Makes a huge difference if you are a power user / app developer with multiple browser tabs, development tools, simulators, photoshop, etc running simultaneously. Big difference is no more compressed memory compared to my old 32GB iMac which is more significant than you would think. Switching between apps is instantaneous and app startup is also very quick.
