Rating: 5/5 Great - two years later November 26, 2017 I bought one of these over 2 years ago. A week later I purchased two more. One of the cases I use with 3 different drives, switching them out on a regular basis for a variety of tasks. It is as well built and light weight as plastic allows and still snaps together as well as it did when new. The other two I use as network drives connected to routers. No problems at all. The only downside is the speed limitations of USB-2, which in my applications is not a big deal.

Rating: 5/5 Express 2.5" Portable USB 2.0 Enclosure for SATA NoteBook HDs November 4, 2016 There is not a great deal one can say about an enclosure for a SATA drive. It either works or it does not. Also, does it provide the degree of protection to the drive placed within it?

Whenever I intend to upgrade a laptop, its memory cards or its drive are my first consideration. If I choose to upgrade its drive I always place an additional order for an enclosure to accommodate the drive I am removing. I never throw away or dispense with an old drive. They are usually robust and long lived. A drive card can always be pressed into service, if only as a backup device. SSDs are replacing HDDs, which is the primary use for the drive enclosures.

I do not recall how many enclosures I have ordered over the years but it must be about a handful. None of them have let me down.

Rating: 5/5 Really great product February 14, 2016 I purchased this SSD to replace a 1TB drive in my early 2011 MacBook Pro. It was very easy to install and works great! Boot up time is cut to about one third of the time which is great, but the time that it takes for applications to launch especially Adobe applications in almost instant, which is wonderful. So far, no problems or issues have popped up. Carbon Copy Cloner works just fine for backups just like a hard drive. I am very please with this SSD.

Works just fine, but the case is a bit flimsy and you need to take care assembling it and carrying it so it does not get beat up or jostled excessively. A good utilitarian piece of kit so long as you know what you are getting.
