Rating: 4/5 Good price, long time September 1, 2016 This is a good deal at a buck a pop. Unfortunately, however, most handheld devices these days pull 1000mA, not the 500mA standard of a few years back. So it might take longer to fully charge your device than you're used to.

On the other hand, that might not be such a bad thing if you tend to leave your smartphone plugged in overnight.

May 25, 2015 I had an opportunity to snatch this up when it was on sale (which was how I first heard of it) - I hadn't realized someone was making this, but it is an item that makes you think - "Why didn't;someone think of this already?" This item is simplicity for those who use their iPhone or iPod Touch a lot (and it might even work for an iPad, but I haven't tried that yet): this is perfect when you're out somewhere & your iOS device's battery starts to fade. Just get the cord you normally use to plug it into the device's charger, but just plug it into the PowerLine Solo instead.

The only thing I need to do (especially if I have a trip with my device coming up) is to remember every evening to plug this charger into a wall socket to ensure that it and my iPhone/iPod Touch are both fully charged up. Then I'm set to go, even if my use of the iPhone/iPod Touch goes long that day - I can keep on going!

Great idea and very easy to use, the plug for the wall socket folds up when you are carrying this charger along, so you could even pop it into a pants pocket.

Rating: 5/5 Practically "free"... December 2, 2014 ... yet, it provides the same functionality as Apple's little cube-shaped "official" USB power adapter that costs $19 retail. It charges my iPods and iPhones just fine. It can even charge my iPad 2, although at a significantly slower rate than the higher-wattage one that comes with it. So, it seems to supply at least as much power as Apple's smallest adapter.

The slim shape (plus folding prongs) is actually more functional, for carrying around. It looks high-quality, not cheap like USB power adapters that you might find on eBay. If you have a USB chargeable device, add one of these to your next OWC order.
