Toshiba Storage Device Division offers a line of 5,400 RPM 2.5-inch HDDs optimized for industry-leading storage applications. This latest Toshiba Aquarius HDD, the MQ01ABD150, provides 1.5TB of capacity in a 12.5-millimeter-high design.

The advanced MQ01ABD150 targets markets such as portable multimedia and gaming notebooks, mobile workstations and other capacity-hungry applications like external HDDs. In addition, this drive also features very good power efficiency. Due to the "Silent-Seek" technology featured in these drives, the HDDs are extremely quiet: Ultra-silent single-platter drives boast acoustic specifications of 19dBA (seek) and 17dBA (idle) making them almost indistinguishable to the human hear.

As with all Toshiba HDDs, the complete Aquarius series is halogen-free and RoHS compatible, therefore, exceptionally environmentally friendly.

IMPORTANT OWC NOTES:

Only the MacBook White Unibody Late 2009 / Mid 2010, 13" or 15" MacBook Pro Unibody (2008-2012), and 17" MacBook Pro (2006-2011) models can accommodate a 12.5mm tall drive. For PC owners consult system specifications for maximum allowable drive height before attempting to install. (See compatibility tab for more info)
