How to show battery health on a MacBook Air?

Your MacBook Air battery health is primarily based on the number of charge cycles it has completed since being purchased. Generally, the maximum battery cycle count for any MacBook Air released after 2010 is 1,000 cycles. Earlier 2008-2009 models are either 300 or 500 cycles.

To check how many cycles your MacBook Air battery has completed, click the top Apple menu and click “About this Mac.” After you see a window displaying your Mac information, click “System Report.” Under “Hardware” click “Power,” and by “Cycle Count” you will see the number of cycles your battery has experienced.
