Open your compter and locate the ZIF ROM module. It is circled in RED in this picture.
Here is a side view. Note that it is the only chip on the board that is enclosed in a vertical slot. To remove, place your finger and thumb on either side of the card, and pull straight up. This will take some force to remove.
Here is a picture of how to insert the chip back into the slot. You need to align the sides of the chip back into the slot straight up and down, and use your thumbs to snap the chip back fully into the slot.
