Keep your File Locations Handy
It's the simple, quick things that can make all the difference. You might already know this one. Personally, I just figured this out recently - kinda embarrassing since it's been around since Apple OS 10.3 'Panther' came out.

Put those popular folders, files, locations, etc - right there a click away vs. drilling every time you go to open, save, etc.
