The DAT Optic UF8-R5J is a true stand-alone five bay enclosure that allows you to configure self-installed HDD(s) as JBOD, RAID 5, 3, 10, 0, or 1 with the flip of the a switch via FireWire or USB2.0. A perfect back-up storage solution for Mac or Windows platforms
When UF8-R5J configures as RAID, then it eliminates host CPU loading due to embedded RISC storage processor.

With datOptic's patented drive connector, you can insert and remove hard drives just like a compact disc or floppy disk being used.
Exchange your hard drives on the fly without having to shut down and disassemble the enclosure. Simply pull the unlocked door open and the drive automatically ejects.
